The line between dream and reality - this is where, while gently lulling my child to sleep, I came up with an idea that led to the creation of the Lilly & Swan brand. I might say I have simply dreamed these lamps and the line between fantasy and reality has become their world. The name Lilly & Swan is also a nod to this realm, a path to the land of dreams, where a magical swan carries tiny Lilly on its back, guiding her safely through the night and enveloping her in warmth and comfort.

This idea took hold of me so deeply that I knew I had to bring it to life. I created the first prototype, and that’s how the Butterfly lamp came to life. It was a very imperfect model, now proudly displayed in our workshop, reminding us of our humble beginnings and the immense effort we’ve poured into this journey since then. I say "we" because - although I am the creator and face of the brand, there are others who contribute their hands and hearts to the creation of each lamp.

The Butterfly marked the beginning of many months spent refining every detail of our lamps – the designs, the shapes, the materials – all to bring them closer to the dream we envisioned. Numerous prototypes followed, none of which met our expectations, pushing us to establish a dedicated workshop, exclusively for crafting lamps. In addition to perfecting their unique and charming form, we focused on enhancing the functionality and quality of the product. Our lamps needed to be made of completely safe materials and remain child's play to use. They were also designed to be adaptable, allowing for adjustments to their form and light to suit individual needs. It was through invaluable creative collaboration that the lamps, in their current form, came to life. I myself have put into them my knowledge acquired through many years of work as an interior designer as well as my studies and experience in the art of goldsmithing. Lilly & Swan has thus become a craftsmanship that evolved from a combination of wood design, lighting arrangements and the delicate details of jewellery making.

Our lamps are mostly handcrafted, making each one a unique piece – lamps with soul.
